The Infiltrators

The Infiltrators

Billed as a “docu-thriller,” this timely film meets the immigration crisis head-on. Using interviews and reenactments, the filmmakers recount the true story of the National Immigrant Youth Alliance, undocumented activists who in 2012 let themselves be detained by ICE to infiltrate a shady, for-profit Florida detention center, in a bid to free the immigrants held there. Years later, the issue has become even more inflammatory under the Trump administration. The ambitious concept is thrilling, but the actual details are even more gripping.
