Raise Hell: The Life and Times of Molly Ivins

Rip-snorting Texas journalist Molly Ivins, whose fabled run as a Lone Star political commentator thrived on swift intellect and turns of phrase as lethal as a loaded gun. Beloved and scorned in equal measure by readers and those who were often unlucky enough to be on the business end of her pen, Ivins was an appropriately larger-the-life Texas icon, the daughter of a right-win oilman who famously handed one George W. Bush a nickname that would haunt him for decades: “Shrub.” This warts-and-all documentary soaks up its subject’s flamboyance, while making the case for how badly her spirit is missed in today’s political media.
