With her latest documentary, Sundance favorite Ondi Timoner (We Live in Public, DIG!, Mapplethorpe) goes deep on America's tragic opioid crisis. The film details the unsparing personal testimonies of loss and recovery of addicts whose lives were derailed, while examining the larger forces that instigated the crisis. Recovering addicts join hands with policy makers to seek justice and solutions, in a project that not only brings empathy to those who suffered, but seeks solutions as well.
